7 Easy Steps to Product Development
You probably didn’t realize how easy it is to take a concept
and create a finished product. Toth Mold/Die,
Inc. located in Bedford,
Ohio is an injection molding/manufacturer that has the knowledge,
experience, and ability to provide full-service product development
in just 7 easy steps.
STEP 1: The first step simply begins with a concept
brought to Toth Mold/Die, Inc. as a thought, a drawing on scratch
paper, a model, a sketch or print.
STEP 2: Second,
we then create the design elements of your concept on a CAD model.
At the same time, we advise you on choosing a polymer type for proper
fit of the application as well as color availability. If necessary,
a SLA Model is created to allow for a physical piece to handle and
operate.
STEP 3: A quote for the mold design, build,
and part price is then determined. The design of the tooling will
provide a recommendation on the number of cavities required for part
production cost effectiveness. The construction of the mold will vary
due to part intricacy. The mold build will include samples and the
finished part. The part price will be determined based on the number
of cavities in the mold, material used and production cycle time.
STEP
4: Upon client approval, the mold build begins and will take
approximately 4– 14 weeks depending on the complexity of the
design.
STEP 5: Upon completion of the mold, test
parts are then produced to check the operation and durability. Any
adjustments necessary to the mold are made at this time.
STEP
6: Production is run. No minimum quantity is required.
STEP
7: Secondary operations (i.e. assembly, packaging etc.) are
completed. The end result is a finished product.
